Our Story
Vikla
Golf Club is a family run business that provides a facility which is not
available anywhere else on the island. At Vikla you will play on quality grass
greens, relax in an environment where people don’t take life or themselves
too seriously, eat and drink at the bar happy that you’re paying the right
price, and only pay 30 euros for your day’s golf!
We
have chosen not to spend a fortune on water (which is scarce enough in
Cyprus
) to irrigate our fairways throughout the summer. This not only saves the
island water, but also saves us money meaning we can pass on these savings to
you - We charge up to 75% less than other ‘green’ courses on the
island!
During the rainy months our fairways green up quite nicely. Then, when the hot
sun beats down in the summer, we allow the fairways to brown off. This
doesn’t cause any problems as - like many clubs subject to our climate - we
use artificial grass mats for fairway shots in the summer. The greens
and aprons remain lush and green right through the year and we are proud to
say are often said to be the best on the island!
